Vote YES. Thursday March 15th 2007. We've waited 4 years for this chance. Remember "if we don,t hang together, they will hang us ,one at a time" How soon we can forget! The treatment of Tom MQ, and Everyone that recieved duncan 10 days !!!!! The other Duncan that "THEY" said quit!
Busting your butt and having no choice working 6 days a week, only to get laid off Just before Christmass. Loosing a weeks holiday just because
you are a " just will employee". Having to start paying some of our health care in order to save Dana some money! The same Dana that sent, not one but people to Spain and for WHAT? The same Dana that just sent another two people to India, to help them take more jobs form North America! Remember all the workers in the Barrie Axle Plant," you may/are not as well educated as the workers in India"
as D-donut is always reminding us! Well ,lets stand as ONE ,on Thursday,
Vote Yes For UAW certification, STAY FOCUSED The time is NOW! _________________ If we don't need a contract, then why does Burns have one? |

| Duncan has done something that is unheard of in todays market he took business away from india. and his talk about india is just to let us know about our competition. and duncan ferris was asked to do a job since his job had no work then he lied and said he had a cortisone shot and then failed to produce the doctors note. so he hung himself and he made it clear to his co worker he planning on quitting anyway but hey lets protect the bad workers some more so everybody else has to pay |

You shouldn't believe that Duncan got us that extra business. If Axles India was ramped up and capable of producing these extra parts there is no doubt in my mind that they would be receiving this business instead of the Barrie plant - they are capable of producing the axles at a substantially lower cost than we will ever acheive even with "efficiency gains". Bottom line for any company is profit and be sure once India is capable of doing more even this gained business will be shipped overseas - it's a corporate trend in any manufacturing environment right now.
As far as the UAW is concerned, I don't expect them to be capable of doing much for us. I have always thought that sticking together was our best option but it's far too late to do anything about it anymore. I'm sure that when they get in the first contract will start out with management negotiating lower wages which will not sit right with anyone.
Guess for me it doesn't really matter anymore because I've already received my notice and I have to say that there is much less stress involved when you know your future. |

Where is all this business from India. We are just bailing them out so that the customer will not be shut down. Also , Duncan was very high on maintenance ( 11 were eliminated ), now we only have six to cover three shifts. As for D. Ferris maybe he lied and maybe he didn't, but one thing is clear he was marked by you and one other lead hand. I will give you a clue , you both high fived each other when he got fired. One final word just remember your roots at Dana, because in this plant it is only the screwups and misfits that get the promotions. |
