I have always voted for strike in my 35 years there.I would vote strike again if i were working. But its not up to me anymore. Before i left there was a lot of concern over those who are laid off for ever and will never return and they still have the right to vote on this contract. Most will take what ever to keep working simply because there are not enough GOOD PAYING JOBS out there and those who will never be back could vote strike and Dana closes the last plant in this area and throws out of work 175 more on top of the 700 already gone FOREVER
So I toss it back to you buddy , what are you going to do

Ah Ha   first you got to think about that one ---it's not as cut and dry as one would think and there is always grey area ,not just black and white, this is a very complex situation the 2007 contract

At 30 years i would have been 52 years old and loose 5% for every under65 on canada pension. 5 more years i gained 50 bucks a year on the hayes pension for a total of an extra 250 bucks a month which will help when i loose at 65 ,also years ago my ex gets 50% of 7 years canada pension.....and i also was not ready to retire. and besides I along with 700 other guys helped make the frame plant what it was so i get to go when i damn well want to go ,

I wish i could be around when the younger group finally reach 30 years and then they see they really are not ready to go

 lol

well there you have it I didnt need to say a thing but just for your benifit  theres my reasoning.  wave

I am not going to second guess what will happen in June ,we will have to wait and see what the offers are and go from there I only said what i did earlier because i know it will get back to the union and the CO. and just wanted them to know what the feelings of the membership and the employees are.  mad  moon
