NOW lets see how many really do care . DANA stocks and DANA bus. have become worthless , I hope that all the true DANA people keep coming here an voice there thoughts and at lest keep [i]CHARLIE [/i]" DANA " name alive after all he gave us all a livelihood.( lets not let this site become worthless

This site is doing what its supose to. who ever started it wanted it to do what he wanted but it does what the users want it to do!

(Sure there are plenty of you that are will to rollover and die. That was demonstrated the way you voted on the union contract. )

Our union CAW 676 has done battle with Dana Many times.we may not have gotten what we wanted ,but we always came away from the bargaining table with something. Our little union a long time ago saw to it thay our pensions were protected by Canadian and provincial laws that are as good as Fort Knox. Burns aint getting our pension money! This latest contract in June we had already sent the message to the upper crust a long time ago no concessions or shut the whole place down , in other words screw you..so we went to the table and came out unscathed.We made no gains but we lost Nothing.Benefits all in place same as before for retirees and workers.Wages in the last plant (DRive Train) still $24 to $30 an hour depending on the job. Not to bad for our union.At least they didnt crumble like the UAW and USW and then brag about how good a deal they came out with.
And they cant even get one man back for being fired for a lot of bull . he would have been back the next day here or we shut down the whole god damn plant. And we have on many occasions..
So we did not roll overand die

This site is doing well for the little information trickling out from management Most of the so called useless postings in chit chat which is exactly what it is for and exactly what it is doing,useless jabber so run with it and enjoy it like everyone else. The deleting part i mentioned was for keeping the megabytes on the site low if that was a concern.and that was all

Yeah not a bad union for now what 180 people,when we at one time had over 2300 and 3 plants

Well I like the chat . As i see it with the stocks we have lost all that we put into it $7500 for me or when and if new stuff is issued we might get a 3 for 1 reissue or anything up to 15 to 1 reissue they will decide that in the board room.It all depends on how high they want the stock to start at.I wonder how many will re buy Dana Stock

nothing from Shareholders Committee.....
letters to the judge has played its self out...
retirees don't talk......
dana employees are talking too much
dana management don't talk....
comp.and internet tips -useless....
website discussions off and on...
that about sums it up for today
so there is no need to post

Just to clarify a few things.

I do not have a problem with people discussing things in Chit Chat, as subassembly said, that is what it is there for. Indeed, that is why I made that forum.

Here is the problem. Originally, Chit Chat was not listed on the main page because it was intended to be off topic discussions.

Later people began posting things that were relevant to Dana so I added it to the main page. Recently, the main page consists mostly Chit Chat discussions with some relevant discussions to Dana.

That is where the problem came in. The last message post is flooded with Chit Chat discussions. Even though there were other discussions, Chit Chat forum took over and people that were trying to discuss matters ended up doing it in Chit Chat, which complicated matters.

I think that the Chit Chat forum needs to be removed from the last message post section on the main page and that people should post information in relevant forums.

The Chit Chat forum will remain open.

The matter is up for discussions. What do you think?

BTW. Hays, all members are able to hide themselves by changing their preference in there profile. Some people do that to be able to read without receiving instant messages and other distractions when they are browsing the board. It is not a big deal and they are always visible to the Admins and moderators so it is not as if they can to do anything that other members can’t do. Wink

I Guess that I am making statements as a website administrator and not in nonprofessional terms.

I look to make websites efficient. Therefore, it is just an administrative concept and if anyone has any comments, they are welcome.

Okay, here it is in simple layman terms.

Unless anyone can state any valid reason why the Chit Chat forum should be listed on the main website it will be removed.

However, the forum will remain open.

it is your site do what you THINK is best but before you decide to remove it look at how many posts you have on the rest of this site if you remove this part of your web you might as well close this site all together (cut your nose off to spite your face) ( then when BURNS steps down you should apply for the job) Shocked

Now come on, We're here to try to fix problems, not create new ones. We, as Dana employees are in this sinking vessel together. We need to reach out and help one another, not continuing bashing eachother. That will help no-one. This only puts us up there in corporate. We are better people than that. Sad

Hi Slippery,

The posts are not going to be removed and I encourage people to use the Chit Chat forum. But I do not see where it is appropriate for the main page to have posts from the chit chat forum.

I think relevant information should be listed there. That is my opinion as the Webmaster but the matter is open for discussion.
