|

If anyone is wondering why the stock is down so much today, is likely because of the news coming out of Delphi. The UAW is announcing that the company will seek a court order to cancel their existing contracts with the union. This would result in a massive strike, which would send ripples throughout the automotive industry. This won't happen overnight, the judge will still have to rule on that and that could take months. Still, its not very good news for an already struggling industry. Delphi is only down slightly today, however appeared to have reacted to this yesterday (down 21%). GM is still one of Dana's bigger customers. Hopefully this gets resolved soon.

All stocks go up and down.
I thought today was a buying opportunity so I bought some more and I was not alone. Volume was a lot heaver than recent sessions with about 6 million shares traded. For every share that sold, there was a buyer.
Who was right the sellers or the buyers, only time will tell? |

| I have not been watching the stock price very closely over the past couple of weeks. WHAT A SURPRIZE to see the current price! What is driving the price up so high? Can we expect it to continue? |

I think the the latest round of good news from GM and Visteon have fueled a little rally in the automotive sector, and Dana is not excluded.
Dana's gains have been huge this week, I'm not sure if that is from Dana breaking through the resistance at ~$2.00 or somebody out there knows something. Nothing astronomical has been released in the news lately, so something positive could have leaked out of the BK proceedings, its a very good sign though.
I think there is still some more upside if there is a deal reached with Delphi and the UAW, and when the judge assign's a shareholder committee. Right now enjoy the ride, its been a great week! |
